Caring for Homes. Committed to Our Community
We began our journey in 2010 as General Contractor Handyman Inc., handling everything from full-scale renovations to minor repairs. Over time, we noticed a recurring theme: many of the major issues we were fixing could have been prevented with simple, routine maintenance.
That insight inspired the creation of GCH Co.—a company dedicated to proactive home maintenance. Our mission is to help homeowners stay ahead of costly repairs by taking care of the little things before they become big problems.
We didn’t just build this company because we care about homes—we built it because we care about the people who live in them. Your comfort, safety, and peace of mind are at the heart of everything we do

Common Questions
Frequently asked questions about our services
AC filter replacement
Changing your AC filter every 3 months is important because it helps your system run more efficiently, improves your home's air quality, and extends the life of your unit. A clean filter traps dust, pollen, and other particles, preventing them from building up in your system. It also reduces strain on the AC, which can lower energy bills and help avoid costly repairs.
Clean Dishwasher Filter and run cleaning cycle
It's good to clean your dishwasher filter and run a cleaning cycle regularly because it keeps your dishwasher running efficiently and prevents odors. Over time, food particles, grease, and soap residue can build up, leading to poor cleaning results and even clogs. Regular cleaning helps extend the life of the dishwasher, improves performance, and ensures your dishes come out clean and sanitized.
Clean Garbage Disposal
Cleaning your garbage disposal regularly is important to prevent buildup of food particles, grease, and odors. It helps keep the disposal running smoothly, reduces the risk of clogs, and keeps your kitchen smelling fresh and clean.
Refrigerator filter
It’s good to change your refrigerator water filter because it keeps your drinking water and ice clean, fresh, and safe. Over time, the filter gets clogged with contaminants like dirt, chlorine, and bacteria, which can affect the taste and quality of your water. Replacing the filter regularly helps protect your health and keeps your refrigerator working properly
Dryer vent blow out and/or cleaning
Blowing out or cleaning your dryer vent is important for safety and efficiency. Lint and debris can build up in the vent over time, which can cause your dryer to work harder, increase energy costs, and even become a fire hazard. Regular vent cleaning helps your dryer run better, dry clothes faster, and reduces the risk of a dangerous lint fire
Check plumbing valves for leaks
It’s good to check plumbing valves for leaks because small leaks can lead to big problems if left unnoticed. Leaking valves can waste water, raise your utility bills, and cause water damage or mold growth over time. Regular checks help catch issues early, saving you money and preventing costly repairs.
Hood vent cleaning
Cleaning your kitchen hood vent is important because it removes built-up grease, smoke, and odors that collect over time. If not cleaned regularly, grease can become a fire hazard and reduce the vent’s ability to remove smoke and steam. Regular hood vent cleaning helps keep your kitchen air clean, improves ventilation, and reduces the risk of fire
Basic cleaning and degreasing of outside A/C system
Basic cleaning and degreasing of the outside A/C system is important because dirt, leaves, and grease can build up on the coils and reduce airflow. This makes the system work harder, use more energy, and cool less effectively. Regular cleaning helps your A/C run more efficiently, last longer, and lower your energy bills.
A/C Drain Line Flush
Flushing your A/C drain line is important because it prevents clogs caused by algae, mold, and debris buildup. A clogged drain line can cause water to back up into your home, leading to water damage, mold growth, and system shutdowns. Regular flushing keeps the line clear, helps your A/C run smoothly, and protects your home from costly damage
Water heater Flush
Flushing your water heater is important because it removes sediment buildup that accumulates over time. Sediment can reduce the heater’s efficiency, cause corrosion, and shorten its lifespan. Regular flushing helps your water heater work better, saves energy, and extends the life of the unit. However, not all water heaters can be safely flushed—especially older units or those with heavy sediment buildup. If the drain valve doesn’t hold or the unit is already backed up, flushing could cause leaks or damage.
Garage Door lubrication
Lubricating your garage door regularly is important to keep all the moving parts working smoothly. It reduces friction and wear on hinges, rollers, and tracks, which helps prevent noisy operation and extends the life of your door. Proper lubrication also helps your garage door open and close more easily and safely.
Annual Home Report with photos & recommendations
An annual home report with photos and recommendations is valuable because it gives you a detailed overview of your home's condition throughout the year. The photos help visually identify any issues, while the recommendations guide you on what maintenance or repairs are needed to prevent bigger problems. This proactive approach helps protect your investment, improve safety, and keep your home running smoothly.
Soft wash of front, patio or driveway
Soft washing your front, patio, or driveway is a gentle but thorough way to remove dirt, mold, mildew, and stains without damaging surfaces. Unlike high-pressure washing, soft washing uses low pressure and special cleaning solutions to protect your home’s exterior while restoring its appearance. Regular soft washing helps maintain curb appeal and extends the life of your surfaces.
Minor repairs
refer to small, simple fixes around the home that help maintain its appearance and function. Examples include repairing or replacing door handles, touching up paint to cover scratches or chips, and applying caulking to seal gaps and prevent drafts or water leaks. These repairs are usually quick, inexpensive, and help prevent bigger problems down the line
Door/window caulking Exterior as needed
Applying door and window caulking on the exterior as needed is important because it seals gaps and cracks that can let in air, water, and pests. Proper caulking improves your home’s energy efficiency by preventing drafts, helps avoid water damage and mold growth, and keeps your home more comfortable and protected.
Our team provides ground-level inspections of windows and doors up to a maximum height of 15 feet. Any areas above 15 feet will be inspected from the interior of the home. Please note that exterior inspections beyond this height are not performed for safety reasons.
Screen inspection
Inspecting screens on lanais, patios, and windows is important because it helps identify tears, holes, or damage that can let in insects, debris, and dirt. Regular screen inspections keep your outdoor spaces comfortable and pest-free, protect your home’s interior, and extend the life of your screens.
Hurricane Readiness Check
We perform a visual inspection of your property’s exterior for potential storm vulnerabilities and lubricate accordion shutters to ensure smooth operation.
Flexible Service
Flexible service time is important because it gives homeowners the freedom to choose exactly what they need, when they need it. You can mix and match tasks from our service list to customize each visit and focus on what matters most—saving time, maximizing value, and keeping your home in top shape. If you don’t see what you need on our list, just ask—we’re always happy to help and can often accommodate special requests.
